The Fifth Petal by Brunonia Barry

This book was absolutely phenomenal. I was pulled into the story when I read it and I got this book out of slight interest but as I read it the plot thickened and the mystery and suspense of it all had me reading well into the night. I loved the Salem Witches aspect of this book because it incorporated history and was very exciting to have a new story to go off of. I was fully entranced by the story that Brunonia Barry has concocted. She was very well written and I am absolutely going to read more of her books.

In a Pit With a Lion on a Snowy Day by Mark Batterson

This book was very intriguing. It was a book so packed with revelation and wisdom that it takes time to really understand and come to terms with all that you read. It was one of those books that bring you more clarity that you thought it would and helps you see things from a different perspective. It brought so much insight to my life and helped me see some more of the bigger picture, it is a read that answers some of our most sought after questions. I was hooked on every word.

The Wolf Road by Beth Lewis

This book was a really good read that wasn't fast paced. It was a book that had a developing story line and it was a gradual book. The character development was done really well and I would re
commend this book to my friends and family. The book was something I have never read before and was thoroughly impressed with.

The Little Paris Bookshop by Nina George

I absolutely adored this book. It was a wonderfully written novel that deals with the real issues people face in life as well as the ability to accept things we cannot change because happy endings are not always guaranteed. This book follows a man through his journey of grief, love lost and finally understanding that even through all the pain it caused him the love and joy were worthwhile and precious to him.

The Fold by Peter Clines

This book was a riveting story about a rift in space, a fold that can help people teleport and go between dimensions at a moments notice. It is a book that delves into a fantasy we all have dreamt of as a child. It goes through wild adventures and keep you enthralled throughout the entire book. The author, Peter Clines, has written several other amazing books that I have enjoyed so I had no doubt that he would be just as amazing in this book as well. I love the sense of adventure and imagination that we all were captivated by as children and he embodies it through his writing. I found myself stuck back in the shoes of my 8 year old self wondering what the universe was possible of doing and how I could see the magic of the world around me.

Eleanor by Jason Gurley

This was a heartbreaking novel about loss and the battle that comes with depression that gives us all a beautiful glimpse into a family's journey of healing. Everything is sad and broken at first and we slowly gather speed and then all at once you're in this rabbit hole of surprises and trying to figure out what is going on while keeping up with who is who and suddenly you find yourself putting this puzzle together and you are almost on the edge of seeing the big picture. It was wonderful in all aspects and really left you with thought provoking questions and a heart full of bittersweet love. I was utterly blown away and dumbfounded by this novel and the concept he presented of a rift in time.

Ex-Isle by Peter Clines

This book was a great read that was filled with suspense and a plot that really just told itself to the reader. The book was very well written and kind of flowed in a way that made it hard to put the book down once you started reading it. I'm a big YA reader and have a sweet spot for suspense novels that have heroes so it was really easy for me to love this book.
